As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in design, implementation, and optimisation across diverse infrastructure projects, ranging from water-treatment systems and energy networks to transport and civil construction. You’ll work within an integrated project team to deliver technically strong, safe, sustainable, and cost-effective mechanical solutions based out of Co Kildare.

Mechanical Engineer Skills:  
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status or near-equivalent professional accreditation preferred.
  • Significant experience in mechanical design across infrastructure—particularly water, wastewater, energy, and/or transport sectors.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design tools such as CAD (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit) and engineering calculation software.
  • Demonstrated track record working on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects and delivering within timelines and budgets.
  • Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating across disciplines and stakeholder groups.

As a Mechanical Engineer:  
  • Lead mechanical system design for water and wastewater treatment plants, energy substation infrastructure, pumping systems, HVAC, and other mechanical components in transport and civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare detailed mechanical design deliverables, including technical specifications, drawings, 3D models, calculations, and equipment schedules.
  • Collaborate with process, structural, electrical, and civil engineering teams to ensure seamless, integrated project execution.
  • Engage with contractors, suppliers, and operations teams to review designs, manage procurement inputs, and support installation and commissioning phases.
  • Conduct site-based assessments and provide mechanical inspections to validate installation quality, ensuring safety and performance standards.
  • Uphold and contribute to the company’s robust Integrated Management System—aligning with ISO standards across Quality (9001), Environment (14001), Energy (50001), Health & Safety (45001), and collaborative procurement (ISO 44001).
  • Support sustainability initiatives through energy-efficient mechanical designs, optimized equipment specifications, and lifecycle evaluation for infrastructure systems.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and technical mentoring in line with our "Do It Better" value.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €60,000 plus package.
