This established Irish main contractor delivers a broad range of commercial, public sector, healthcare, education and refurbishment projects throughout Ireland. Their reputation has been built on quality delivery, strong client relationships and maintaining high standards across every project.
They are now delivering a €51 million public sector redevelopment project in County Laois. The project includes extensive refurbishment, alterations and new construction works, making building services coordination a critical part of successful delivery.
The Role: M&E Coordinator
Based on site in County Laois, the M&E Coordinator will oversee the delivery of all mechanical and electrical services throughout this major public sector project.
Working closely with the Project Manager, design consultants and specialist subcontractors, you will coordinate installations, resolve technical issues, monitor quality and ensure all services are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme.
Must Have Requirements
You have strong building services experience within the Irish construction industry and enjoy coordinating multiple trades on technically demanding projects. You communicate well with subcontractors and consultants while maintaining a strong focus on programme, quality and safety.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have previous experience as an M&E Coordinator, Building Services Engineer or similar role with an Irish main contractor.
- Proven experience coordinating mechanical and electrical services on large construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of commissioning, technical drawings and building services installations.
- Experience working alongside mechanical and electrical subcontractors from installation through handover.
- Public sector, healthcare, education or commercial project experience.
- Experience using BIM, Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services qualification preferred.
- Coordinate all mechanical and electrical installations across the project.
- Review services drawings and identify coordination issues.
- Manage specialist subcontractors to ensure programme targets are achieved.
- Attend technical and coordination meetings with consultants and project teams.
- Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Oversee commissioning activities and handover documentation.
- Support programme delivery through proactive planning and problem solving.
- Maintain accurate technical records and reporting throughout construction.
