Overview:
An excellent opportunity for a Junior Site Engineer to join one of Ireland’s longest established and most respected Main Contractors on a major heritage and public sector redevelopment in Dublin City.
You’ll be working on a technical and interesting project combining the careful restoration and conservation of historic structures with refurbishment, enabling works and the development of modern public & community facilities.
For a Junior Engineer, this is a particularly strong project to develop your experience, giving you exposure to setting out, surveying, QA, technical coordination, subcontractor management and conservation works while working alongside an experienced site team.
The contractor has been operating in Ireland for over 100 years and has delivered multiple projects across the commercial, healthcare, education, residential, pharmaceutical, industrial and public sectors.
They’re known for placing a huge emphasis in developing their staff and this gives you the chance to work alongside experienced construction professionals on high profile projects in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with setting out, surveying and checking works on site using Total Station and GPS equipment.
- Work from construction drawings, specifications and technical information to ensure works are completed correctly.
- Work closely with the Senior Engineer, Site Manager and wider project team on day-to-day engineering requirements.
- Monitor works on site to ensure they are being completed safely and in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Previous placement or graduate experience working as a Site Engineer in Ireland.
- Hands on experience with setting out using Total Station, GPS or surveying equipment.
- Ambitious, willing to learn and keen to develop a long term career.
