Junior Electrical Estimator
You are a Junior Electrical Estimator with early experience in electrical or infrastructure projects, looking to develop your estimating career within a well-established engineering and construction contractor delivering complex energy and power projects across Ireland.
This is a junior–mid level role based in Kildare, supporting the work-winning and commercial teams on a diverse portfolio of projects including HV substations, solar farms, underground and overhead cable routes, gas pipelines and associated energy infrastructure. You will gain exposure to full tender lifecycles while working closely with senior estimators and project teams in a structured, supportive environment.

Junior Electrical Estimator – Skills & Experience:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar estimating or commercial role
Electrical estimating experience beneficial but not essential
Previous exposure to electrical, energy or infrastructure projects advantageous
Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation
Good numerical, analytical and organisational skills
Capable of working on own initiative while contributing effectively within a team
Ability to manage time efficiently and meet tender deadlines
Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
As a Junior Electrical Estimator you will:
Assist in the preparation of detailed electrical cost estimates and tender submissions
Review tender drawings, specifications and documents to determine scope and deliverables
Support senior estimators in analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
Produce enquiry schedules for suppliers and subcontractors
Attend tender start-up, adjudication and handover meetings
Carry out site visits as required to support tender development
Maintain and update estimating templates, cost databases and tracking systems
Support the transition of successful tenders to the project delivery teams
Assist with ad-hoc commercial tasks and reporting as required
Health, Safety & Quality:
Ensure estimating activities comply with company HSQE and governance standards
Promote best practice in commercial accuracy, documentation and compliance
Support continuous improvement in estimating systems and procedures
The Package:
A competitive salary of €40,000 – €55,000 DOE is on offer, alongside an excellent benefits package including 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, discretionary annual bonus, contributory pension scheme, private healthcare allowance, life assurance, enhanced sick pay, structured professional development, training support and long-term career progression within a growing energy and power division.
