Continued growth across Ireland and Europe has created an opportunity for a Junior BIM Technician to join their expanding BIM team in Dublin.
The Role – Junior BIM Technician
The Junior BIM Technician will work closely with the BIM Manager and digital construction team to support the delivery and development of BIM processes across the organisation. This role offers excellent exposure to BIM coordination, project modelling and digital construction workflows while contributing to the company’s ongoing BIM innovation roadmap.
You will assist in implementing BIM standards across projects, supporting design teams and contributing to the development of BIM execution plans and digital project standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early career BIM professional looking to develop within a leading construction company delivering high profile commercial, pharmaceutical and data centre projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the BIM Manager in implementing and maintaining BIM standards across the business
• Assist with the rollout and monitoring of BIM protocols including BIM Stage 2 compliance
• Provide technical BIM support to project design and engineering teams
• Assist with BIM project setup including naming conventions, workflows and model coordination
• Attend project kick off meetings to establish BIM requirements with project teams
• Contribute to the development of BIM Execution Plans for projects and tender submissions
• Support BIM progress reviews with project teams to ensure compliance with BIM standards
• Assist in developing BIM libraries, templates and parametric Revit families
• Explore and support the implementation of new BIM technologies and digital tools
• Contribute to digital innovation initiatives including AR and VR technologies
• Assist with internal BIM training workshops to support project teams adopting BIM processes
About You
• Degree in Architectural Technology, BIM, Digital Construction or a related discipline
• Strong interest in BIM coordination and digital construction technologies
• Experience using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD
• Understanding of BIM standards including ISO 19650
• Knowledge of BIM workflows including levels of information need, BIM stages and BIM dimensions
• Experience creating parametric families in Revit is beneficial
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Enthusiastic and proactive with a strong willingness to learn
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative project team
