The Role – M&E Services Coordinator
The M&E Services Coordinator will play a key role in the successful delivery of building services packages on large scale construction projects in Dublin. Working closely with project managers, design teams and subcontractors, you will oversee the coordination, installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems across the project lifecycle.
This is a senior site based role focused on ensuring building services installations are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards. The position is well suited to an experienced M&E Coordinator or Building Services Engineer looking to work on major construction developments with a leading main contractor.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical services across construction projects in Dublin
• Manage M&E subcontractors ensuring works are delivered on programme and to specification
• Support site management teams in the coordination of building services installations
• Ensure M&E works are delivered to the required quality standards and within tender budgets
• Monitor project progress and support programme delivery across building services packages
• Assist in the management of design and build projects ensuring client requirements are achieved
• Maintain strong health and safety standards across all project activities
• Resolve technical or contractual issues relating to building services installations
• Assist with preparation of contractual claims where required
• Support estimating teams during tender and preconstruction stages when necessary
• Coordinate project snagging processes with design teams, clients and subcontractors
• Manage subcontractor snag completion and final retention release procedures
• Prepare and manage contra charges where applicable for subcontractor works
About You
• Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years experience in an M&E Coordinator or Building Services role within construction
• Experience working with a main contractor or building services contractor
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within large construction projects
• Electrical project experience is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of construction programme management and subcontractor coordination
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple building services packages simultaneously
• Strong focus on quality, safety and project delivery
