Electrical QA Engineer | Building Services / MEP Projects
Location: Ireland
Employer: Leading mechanical and electrical contractor delivering large scale industrial, pharma, commercial and data centre projects
Salary: €60,000 to €65,000 DOE plus strong benefits and career development

The Role | Electrical QA Engineer As Electrical QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring all electrical installations meet the highest standards of quality, compliance and performance. You will be responsible for inspecting works, managing quality processes and supporting commissioning across major MEP projects.
Working closely with project teams, you will ensure installations are delivered in line with specifications, industry standards and client expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical tester or QA professional to step into a structured quality focused role on large scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities • Review electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and quality plans
• Ensure all installations comply with ETCI, IS 10101 and relevant IEC and BS standards
• Inspect electrical works including containment, cabling, terminations, panels, MCCs, LV and MV systems
• Verify materials and equipment meet approved technical submittals and project specifications
• Witness and verify electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity, loop impedance and RCD testing
• Support functional testing and commissioning activities across projects
• Monitor and sign off ITP hold points and witness points throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify non conformances, raise NCRs and track corrective actions to close out
• Maintain accurate QA documentation including inspection reports, test packs and as built records
• Prepare weekly and monthly QA reports for internal teams and clients
• Support commissioning teams and participate in client walkdowns and handover processes
• Work closely with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to drive quality standards on site
About You • Trade qualified electrician or degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 3 to 5 years plus experience in an electrical QA, QC or testing role within construction or building services
• Strong understanding of electrical installation standards, testing procedures and commissioning processes
• Experience working on industrial, pharmaceutical, commercial or data centre projects is highly desirable
• Familiar with ITPs, test packs, quality systems and project documentation requirements
• High attention to detail with strong reporting and documentation skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage with site teams, clients and consultants
• Ability to work independently and manage quality processes across busy project environments
• Valid Safe Pass with additional site certifications an advantage
