Electrical Project Engineer – Building Services / Mission Critical & Pharmaceutical Projects

The Role – Electrical Project Engineer
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of major building services and mission critical projects in Dublin. Working alongside the Project Manager and senior engineering team, you will take responsibility for electrical design reviews, technical coordination, procurement support and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is suited to an Electrical Engineer with experience on large scale construction or engineering projects who wants to develop further within a leading M&E contractor delivering complex pharmaceutical, data centre and commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out detailed reviews of electrical drawings, specifications and technical schedules to ensure compliance with project and industry standards
• Ensure electrical installations are delivered in line with project specifications and QA benchmarks
• Develop engineering solutions and alternatives where design challenges arise
• Manage RFIs and technical queries with the client and design team
• Review coordinated construction drawings and ensure integration with other building services disciplines
• Prepare and manage technical submittals and documentation for client approval
• Review specialist supplier packages and ensure compliance with design intent and specifications
• Coordinate procurement schedules with the procurement team and monitor long lead items
• Support the BCAR inspection process and work closely with the quality team
• Monitor sustainability requirements including LEED and BREEAM where applicable
• Use engineering software tools including Dialux, Relux, Amtech Pro Design, Navisworks and BIM platforms
• Support project delivery teams to ensure electrical works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards
About You
• Level 7 or Level 8 degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• 3 years experience working as an Electrical Project Engineer or Electrical Engineer within construction or engineering projects
• Experience working on building services, M&E or large scale electrical installations
• Strong technical understanding of Irish electrical regulations, fire alarm and emergency lighting standards
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Navisworks and Microsoft Office
• Experience using BIM platforms such as BIM 360 or Procore is beneficial
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a project team
