Electrical Lead – Data Centre / Advanced Technology Projects

The Company
This international main contractor delivers some of Europe's most complex data centre, advanced technology, pharmaceutical, and life sciences projects.
With a strong pipeline of major developments across the Nordics and mainland Europe, the company continues to expand its engineering leadership team and is now seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to support the delivery of a large-scale project in Norway.
The Role: Electrical Lead
Reporting to the Project Director and working closely with senior project leadership, the Electrical Lead will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of all electrical systems across the project.
You will provide both technical and managerial leadership throughout design, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance, and programme delivery are maintained.
This role is suited to an experienced Electrical Lead, Senior Electrical Project Manager, or Electrical Construction Manager with a proven track record delivering large-scale mission critical, life sciences, or advanced technology projects.

Salary: €120,000 to €140,000 DOE

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven experience leading electrical delivery on large-scale construction or engineering projects is required.
- Strong technical expertise in LV and MV distribution systems, critical power systems, UPS systems, generators, and life safety systems is required.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements within major project environments is required.
- Data centre, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or advanced technology project experience preferred.
- Experience overseeing commissioning, integrated systems testing, and project handover activities beneficial.
- Commercial awareness including contract administration and cost control advantageous.
- Experience using BIM and digital construction delivery platforms preferred.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional accreditation.
- Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or Construction Management.
- Experience with critical power infrastructure and mission critical facilities.
- Knowledge of regulated environments and compliance requirements beneficial.
- Lead the delivery of all electrical systems including LV and MV distribution, UPS systems, generators, lighting, fire alarms, and life safety systems.
- Ensure all electrical works are delivered in accordance with programme, budget, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and support to engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors throughout project delivery.
- Develop and implement electrical execution strategies, resource planning, and delivery programmes.
- Review and approve electrical designs, technical submissions, and material specifications.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
- Oversee factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing activities.
- Support validation, certification, and handover processes through accurate documentation and reporting.
- Drive health, safety, environmental, quality assurance, and quality control standards across all electrical activities.
- Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all electrical matters with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate electrical activities with mechanical, process, instrumentation, and BMS teams to ensure successful integration of systems.
- Lead coordination meetings and provide regular progress updates to project leadership teams.
- You are an experienced Electrical Lead with a strong background delivering large-scale electrical packages within mission critical, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or advanced technology sectors.
- You have the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate complex technical installations, and drive projects through commissioning and handover while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme performance.
- You are a strong communicator who can effectively manage relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams while providing technical leadership throughout project delivery.
Salary: €120,000 to €140,000 DOE
