The Company

This international main contractor delivers some of Europe's most complex data centre, pharmaceutical, life sciences, and advanced technology projects.

With a strong pipeline of major developments across the Nordics and mainland Europe, the company continues to expand its senior leadership team and is now seeking an experienced MEP Lead to support the delivery of large-scale data centre projects in Norway.

The Role: MEP Lead

Reporting to the MEP Director, the MEP Lead will provide technical and operational leadership across all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building services activities on major data centre projects.

The role is responsible for driving technical excellence, ensuring successful integration of MEP systems, supporting project delivery teams, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance, and programme performance.

Working closely with project directors, regional building services managers, consultants, subcontractors, and client teams, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex mission critical developments.

Must Have Requirements
  • Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience leading MEP delivery on large-scale construction projects is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building services systems is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery teams is required.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills are essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Data centre, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or advanced technology project experience preferred.
  • Experience delivering integrated MEP solutions across large-scale or multi-site developments beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, testing, and handover processes advantageous.
  • Knowledge of BIM, digital engineering, and modern construction technologies preferred.
Nice to Have
  • Professional membership with CIBSE, IET, Engineers Ireland, or a similar institution.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Engineering Management, Building Services, or Sustainability.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, carbon management, and sustainability frameworks.
  • Experience with smart building technologies and digital project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership across all MEP and building services activities within the project portfolio.
  • Oversee the design, installation, commissioning, testing, and handover of all MEP systems.
  • Ensure successful integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, architectural, and civil elements.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, design submissions, specifications, and engineering deliverables.
  • Support project delivery teams in achieving programme, commercial, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Monitor project performance, risk management, compliance, and technical delivery across all MEP activities.
  • Implement best practice processes for design coordination, technical delivery, and construction methodology.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, contractual, and client requirements.
  • Lead investigations into technical issues and ensure lessons learned are captured and implemented.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving industry standards, legislation, and sustainability requirements.
  • Mentor and support senior building services managers and technical teams across the project.
  • Promote technical innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous professional development.
  • Support succession planning and long-term capability development within the MEP function.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, regulators, and project stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are achieved.
  • Provide strategic guidance to project leadership regarding technical risks, opportunities, and MEP solutions.
About You

You are an experienced MEP Lead, Building Services Director, or Senior MEP Manager with a proven track record delivering large-scale mission critical, data centre, pharmaceutical, or advanced technology projects.

You possess strong technical expertise across both mechanical and electrical disciplines and have the leadership skills required to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive successful project outcomes.

You are commercially aware, technically strong, and capable of managing complex stakeholder relationships while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and programme delivery.
