The Company

This international M&E engineering contractor delivers major data centre, pharmaceutical and critical infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

With a strong European project pipeline and continued investment in its commissioning teams, they are now looking for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a major data centre project in Denmark.

The Role: Electrical Commissioning Engineer

As Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will work as part of the commissioning team responsible for testing and bringing critical electrical systems through commissioning and final handover.

You will work across power distribution, UPS systems, switchgear, transformers and standby generation, ensuring testing is completed safely, correctly and in line with the commissioning programme.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have relevant electrical commissioning experience, ideally 5+ years
• Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or relevant electrical qualification required
• Hands on experience required with electrical power distribution and commissioning
• Strong understanding of LV electrical systems, switchgear and emergency power systems

Preferred Experience

• Data centre or other mission critical project experience preferred
• Experience with UPS systems, generators and transformers beneficial
• Functional testing and load bank testing experience advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Test and commission electrical systems across the data centre
• Support commissioning of UPS, switchgear, transformers, PDUs and generators
• Carry out functional testing and support load bank testing
• Work from commissioning plans, procedures and test scripts
• Liaise with project, design and commissioning teams to resolve technical issues
• Track commissioning progress and report issues through to close out
• Support system integration and final handover

About You

You are an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer with a practical understanding of electrical testing and critical power systems. You will be comfortable working to commissioning programmes, troubleshooting technical issues and coordinating with project teams in a live data centre environment.
