The Role | Building Services Engineer
As a Building Services Engineer in Cork, you will support the delivery of mechanical and electrical services across residential construction projects. Working closely with site teams and design consultants, you will play a key role in coordinating MEP systems from early design through to commissioning and handover.
You will be involved in ensuring all building services installations are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard. This role offers strong exposure to site operations, subcontractor management, and technical coordination across large scale residential developments.

As a Building Services Engineer in Cork, you will support the delivery of mechanical and electrical services across residential construction projects. You will be involved in ensuring all building services installations are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard. This role offers strong exposure to site operations, subcontractor management, and technical coordination across large scale residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the installation quality of mechanical and electrical systems from coordination through to completion
- Support site teams with MEP coordination and assist in resolving on site technical issues
- Liaise with design teams to ensure building services are fully integrated with structural and architectural elements
- Manage M&E subcontractors and ensure adherence to programme and quality standards
- Coordinate with utility providers and local authorities to ensure timely service connections
- Assist with service diversions and infrastructure modifications where required
- Contribute to value engineering and continuous improvement of building services systems
- Oversee temporary site services including electrical and water systems
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality control, and compliance
- Support commissioning, snagging, and final handover processes
- Degree or qualification in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 4 years experience in a Building Services Engineer or MEP role within construction
- Experience working on residential or large scale building projects
- Strong understanding of M&E coordination, installation, and commissioning
- Ability to manage subcontractors and communicate effectively with project stakeholders
- Driven, self motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- Interest in sustainable building services and energy efficient systems
Salary: €60,000 – €70,000 DOE
