Known for high standards in safety, quality, programme delivery and technical execution, they have built a strong reputation for delivering complex electrical and mechanical packages on fast paced live construction environments.

The Role: Electrical Construction Manager

This Electrical Construction Manager role is based on a large scale data centre project in Helsinki, Finland.

You will take ownership of electrical construction activities across key project areas, managing subcontractors, driving programme delivery, maintaining quality standards and ensuring all electrical installations are delivered safely and in line with specification.

The Electrical Construction Manager will work closely with Project Managers, QA teams, Package Managers and commissioning teams to ensure smooth coordination from installation through to testing and handover.

This is a hands on construction management role suited to someone with strong experience delivering LV/MV electrical systems within data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or other mission critical environments.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 5 years’ experience in an Electrical Construction Manager or similar role
• Proven experience required on large scale construction projects such as data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial or mission critical projects
• Relevant electrical qualification required such as City & Guilds, HNC, BTEC, NVQ or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, QA procedures and construction sequencing
• Experience managing subcontractors, programme delivery and electrical installation teams is required

Preferred Experience

• Previous data centre construction experience preferred
• Experience working on European construction projects beneficial
• Commissioning and testing exposure advantageous
• Experience using MS Project or similar planning software beneficial
• Strong understanding of change control and variation management preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction activities across the project in line with programme targets
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor labour levels against planned schedules
• Work closely with QA teams to ensure installations meet required standards and specifications
• Prepare and manage short term look ahead programmes for upcoming works
• Monitor project progress and report delays, variations and risks to senior management
• Ensure all electrical plant and materials are delivered, checked and stored correctly onsite
• Maintain strong site safety standards and promote a positive Health & Safety culture
• Coordinate with Package Managers and commissioning teams throughout project delivery
• Support project close out including QA documentation, O&M manuals, punch lists and handover files
• Assist with change management processes and ensure impacts to cost and programme are tracked

• Strong background in electrical construction delivery on major projects
• Comfortable working within fast paced live construction environments
• Excellent subcontractor coordination and programme management ability
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and installation sequencing
• Detail focused with strong quality and safety awareness
• Confident communicator capable of managing multiple stakeholders onsite
• Proven ability to drive works to programme while maintaining high standards
• Strong reporting and organisational skills
