Salary €75,000 to €80,000 plus vehicle, bonus, pension and healthcare

This long-established Irish main contractor has been delivering high-quality construction projects for over 70 years across Ireland and the UK. Operating across residential, commercial, healthcare, life sciences, data centre, education and hospitality sectors, they manage projects from pre-construction through to completion, partnering with leading developers, multinational clients and public bodies.
With a strong reputation for delivering large-scale apartment schemes and complex urban developments, the company is known for its collaborative approach, technical expertise and consistent track record of delivering projects safely, on time and to the highest standard.
With multiple live projects in the South East, they continue to expand their Waterford based operations and are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their growing team.
The Role – Site Manager
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day to day running of a healthcare construction project in Waterford. You will manage subcontractors, coordinate trades, and ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
You will report to the Contracts Manager and play a key role in driving programme delivery, maintaining site standards and ensuring a smooth handover to clients and purchasers.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily site operations on a healthcare construction project
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with health and safety regulations
• Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour to maintain programme targets
• Monitor quality control and ensure high standards of finish throughout
• Chair site meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior management
• Maintain site documentation including daily diaries, safety records and inspection reports
• Liaise with design teams and resolve technical queries efficiently
• Prepare for and manage inspections, snagging and final handover
About You
• Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects
• Strong background working with main contractors in Ireland
• Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing and residential build processes
• Strong focus on quality control and finishing standards
• Confident in managing subcontractors and driving productivity
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Relevant construction qualification and up to date Safe Pass and SMSTS or equivalent
