The Role - Site Manager
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a large residential construction project in Galway. Working closely with the Project Manager and senior management team, you will oversee site operations, ensure programme targets are met and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and build quality.
This role requires strong leadership on site, coordinating subcontractors, managing site teams and ensuring that the project progresses efficiently while maintaining strict quality control.
Key Responsibilities :
• Manage daily site operations on a large residential construction project
• Ensure strict compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and company policies
• Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to maintain programme targets
• Monitor construction quality and ensure works are completed to specification
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure programme milestones are achieved
• Maintain accurate site records including daily reports, inspections and documentation
• Manage deliveries, logistics and site resources efficiently
• Liaise with design teams, consultants and project stakeholders when required
• Identify and resolve site issues quickly to avoid programme delays
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and site organisation throughout the build
About You:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential or mixed-use construction projects
• Background working with a main contractor on medium to large-scale developments
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, sequencing and site logistics
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with subcontractors and site teams
• Strong focus on health and safety management on busy construction sites
• Ability to drive quality standards and deliver projects on schedule
• Trade background or construction management qualification preferred
• Highly organised with strong problem-solving ability
