The Company

This Irish main contractor delivers building, refurbishment and upgrade projects across Dublin and the wider Leinster region, with experience working in busy public sector and live operational environments. They are currently delivering a multi million euro upgrade project at a major public transport facility in Dublin, Co Dublin.

They are now looking for a capable Site Manager to oversee the works, which include office refurbishment and roof upgrades within an operational environment where planning, coordination and site control will be important.

The Role: Site Manager

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the works, coordinating subcontractors and keeping the project moving safely and in line with programme.

You will work closely with the Project Manager and site team, managing quality, health and safety, logistics and sequencing of works. With the project taking place within a live public transport environment, you will need to be switched on, organised and comfortable managing works around existing operations.

Must Have Requirements
  • Must have proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor in Ireland
  • Strong refurbishment, fit out or building upgrade experience required
  • Must have experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and driving works to programme
  • Proven ability to manage health and safety and quality on a live site

Preferred Experience
  • Experience delivering public sector or transport infrastructure projects preferred
  • Previous experience working within live operational environments beneficial
  • Roof upgrade or refurbishment experience would be an advantage

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day construction activities and subcontractors on site
  • Drive programme delivery and ensure works progress to agreed milestones
  • Coordinate office refurbishment, roofing and associated upgrade works
  • Maintain strong health and safety standards throughout the project
  • Manage quality control, inspections, snagging and finishes
  • Coordinate site logistics within a live operational environment
  • Liaise with the Project Manager, design team and subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate site records and progress reporting
  • Identify site issues early and ensure they are resolved without affecting programme

About You

You will be an experienced Site Manager with a practical understanding of refurbishment and upgrade projects. You should be comfortable taking ownership of a busy site, coordinating subcontractors and making sure works are properly planned before they start.

A strong eye for quality, good construction knowledge and the ability to keep firm control of programme and health and safety will be important. Experience working around live facilities or public infrastructure would suit this Site Manager position particularly well.
