Excellent opportunity for a Senior Site Engineer to join an award winning building main contractor with 40+ years of experience delivering high quality construction projects across Ireland.
You’ll be joining an experienced site team on a €multi-million healthcare development in County Sligo, taking a senior engineering role from the early stages of construction right through to completion.
The project involves a significant new build element alongside extensive civil, structural and external works, giving you strong technical exposure across the full construction lifecycle.
This contractor has an excellent reputation throughout the Northwest and a particularly strong track record within the healthcare and education sectors, with a healthy pipeline of work across Sligo, Donegal and the surrounding counties.
The company has built a strong culture around retaining and developing its people, with an experienced management team, a collaborative approach on site and genuine opportunities to progress into Site Management and Project Management positions.

Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for setting out, surveying and overseeing engineering activities across the project, ensuring works are completed accurately and in accordance with the drawings.
- Coordinate closely with the Site Manager, design team, subcontractors and other members of the project team to ensure the smooth delivery of works on site.
- Manage quality control procedures, inspections, RFIs, technical queries and site records, ensuring a consistently high standard of workmanship.
- Review construction drawings and technical information, identifying and resolving engineering issues before they impact programme or quality.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 5 years of experience working as a Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer in Ireland.
- Strong building experience with an Irish Main Contractor.
- Excellent setting out and surveying ability.
