The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take a key commercial leadership role within the business, supporting the delivery of multiple civil and utilities projects across Leinster.
You’ll manage all aspects of cost control, procurement, contract management, and reporting, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Senior Leadership to ensure financial and operational success.

The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take a key commercial leadership role within the business, supporting the delivery of multiple civil and utilities projects across Leinster.
You’ll manage all aspects of cost control, procurement, contract management, and reporting, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Senior Leadership to ensure financial and operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering initiatives to maximise efficiency.
- Manage procurement schedules, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration.
- Prepare monthly cost/value reports, risk registers, and commercial forecasts.
- Review and process subcontractor payments, claims, and final accounts.
- Provide clear, accurate commercial updates and advice to senior management.
- Support and mentor junior quantity surveyors within the commercial team.
- Maintain consistent change control, contract notifications, and cost management processes.
- Liaise with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders to ensure full transparency and compliance.
- Promote a culture of commercial awareness and continuous improvement across all projects.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
- 7+ years’ experience in civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent knowledge of water, drainage, and utilities frameworks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and commercial management systems.
- Strong contractual understanding (FIDIC, NEC, or Public Works).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Full, clean driving licence essential.
- Motivated, analytical, and able to lead teams while managing multiple priorities.
