The Company
This Irish main contractor is delivering a busy programme of civil engineering and utility projects across Dublin and the wider Leinster region.
With approximately eight crews operating across different sites each week, they are looking for an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to take a key role supporting Health & Safety across their Dublin operations.
The Role: Senior Health & Safety Advisor
As Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you will be based from the company’s Co Meath office while taking responsibility for Health & Safety across a portfolio of live utility projects throughout Dublin. The contractor currently has approximately eight crews working across different sites each week, alongside a larger utility project in Leopardstown, South Dublin.
This is a multi-site role rather than a position based permanently on one project. You will regularly visit active sites, work directly with Project Managers, supervisors and construction crews, and ensure strong Health & Safety standards are maintained across the operation. Flexibility to travel between the Co Meath office and projects across Dublin is an important part of the role.
Must Have Requirements
• Must have strong Health & Safety experience within the construction sector
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification required
• Proven experience supporting multiple live construction sites required
• Must be flexible to travel regularly between projects across Dublin
Preferred Experience
• Civil engineering or utilities experience strongly preferred
• Experience working directly with multiple site crews beneficial
• Strong knowledge of RAMS, site inspections and Health & Safety documentation
• Strong reporting and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and support Health & Safety across utility projects throughout Dublin
• Carry out regular site inspections and audits across multiple live sites
• Work closely with Project Managers, supervisors and construction crews
• Monitor site compliance and ensure corrective actions are followed through
• Review and support RAMS, toolbox talks, inductions and site safety procedures
• Maintain accurate Health & Safety records and reporting
• Identify risks and work with site teams to put practical controls in place
• Support Health & Safety standards across approximately eight active crews
About You
You will be an experienced Health & Safety Advisor with a strong construction background and the confidence to work across several active sites.
A background in civil engineering or utilities would be particularly relevant. You should be comfortable dealing directly with Project Managers, supervisors and crews and capable of taking ownership of Health & Safety issues as they arise.
You will be organised, practical and comfortable managing your time across a number of sites while maintaining consistent standards across the Dublin operation.
