Job title: Quantity Surveyor – Residential Developer

The Company
This established Irish main contractor and residential developer has built a strong reputation for delivering high quality housing developments across the South East and Leinster region.
With a growing pipeline of residential projects and continued expansion from their Wexford head office, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The company is known for strong project delivery, quality finishes, and long-term investment in staff development.
The Role: Quantity Surveyor
This is a key Quantity Surveyor role based from the Wexford head office, supporting the commercial delivery of residential construction projects from pre-construction through to final account.
You will work closely with the commercial manager, site teams, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with programme requirements.
The successful Quantity Surveyor will gain exposure across procurement, subcontractor management, valuations, cost reporting, and commercial strategy on active residential developments across Co Wexford and the wider South East region.

About You:
You will come from a Quantity Surveying background with experience working on construction or residential projects in Ireland. You will be commercially aware, organised, and capable of managing multiple packages simultaneously.
The successful Quantity Surveyor will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with both site and office teams to support programme delivery and commercial performance.

Must Have Requirements:
- Must have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or residential development
- Experience with an Irish main contractor or developer is required
- Proven experience required managing subcontractor packages and project costs
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline
- Strong commercial awareness and reporting ability required
Preferred Experience:
- Residential or housing development experience preferred
- Experience using construction cost management software beneficial
- Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts and procurement
Nice to Have:
- Experience working on timber frame or traditional housing developments
- Additional commercial or contract management training
- Full driving licence
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
- Assist with subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, and package awards
- Prepare interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitor project expenditure and identify commercial risks
- Liaise with site management teams regarding project progress and costs
- Maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships
- Support accurate financial reporting for residential developments
- Assist with cost planning and value engineering exercises
- Ensure strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle
