Their portfolio includes commercial developments, residential schemes and specialist electrical installations for major private and public sector clients.
With a strong pipeline of projects secured, the company continues to expand its commercial team and is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of electrical and construction projects across the Dublin region. The organisation is known for its collaborative culture, strong technical expertise and commitment to delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
The Role – Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of electrical construction projects from tender stage through to final account. Working closely with project managers, engineers and senior commercial staff, you will ensure cost control, accurate reporting and commercial performance across multiple projects.
This role offers excellent exposure to both pre contract and post contract commercial management and is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor looking to further develop their career within the electrical and construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing cost estimates and detailed cost plans for commercial and residential construction projects
• Assisting in the preparation and management of tender documentation
• Analysing subcontractor and supplier tenders and producing tender evaluation reports
• Preparing valuations, cost reports and financial updates for ongoing projects
• Managing variations, re measurement and change control processes
• Supporting the resolution of construction disputes and loss and expense claims where required
• Assisting with the preparation and agreement of final accounts
• Maintaining accurate commercial documentation and project records
• Working closely with project teams to ensure strong commercial performance across projects
About You
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline
• 3 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or electrical contracting
• Strong knowledge of electrical packages and construction cost management
• Experience across both pre contract and post contract stages
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and commercial reporting tools
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple project responsibilities and meet deadlines
• A proactive and detail focused approach to commercial management
