The Role: Project / Site Manager
This is a site-based Project / Site Manager role overseeing ESB and utilities infrastructure works across Co Meath. You will manage day-to-day operations across multiple live sites, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with ESB procedures and programme requirements.
The successful Project / Site Manager will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders while maintaining strict compliance with ESB safety systems, permits, RAMS, and quality standards.
This role suits someone with strong utilities or civils experience who is comfortable managing live construction environments and driving programme delivery across multiple locations.

- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience on ESB or utilities infrastructure projects
- Proven experience required in a Site Manager or Project Manager role within civils or utilities
- Strong knowledge of ESB safety systems, permits, RAMS, and compliance procedures
- Experience managing subcontractors and live construction environments is required
- Full driving licence required
Preferred Experience:
- Utilities infrastructure or power projects experience preferred
- Experience working directly with ESB representatives beneficial
- Background with Irish civil engineering or utilities contractors advantageous
- Strong reporting and programme management skills preferred
- Relevant engineering or construction qualification
- Additional health & safety certifications
- Experience across multi-site utilities projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations across ESB and utilities infrastructure projects
- Coordinate site managers, crews, subcontractors, and suppliers across multiple locations
- Ensure all works comply with ESB standards, permits, RAMS, and health & safety requirements
- Liaise directly with ESB representatives and internal project stakeholders
- Monitor programme progress and provide regular updates to senior management
- Ensure quality standards are maintained and works are delivered to specification
- Maintain accurate site records, permits, and project documentation
- Drive programme delivery while maintaining safety and operational standards on live utility sites
- Manage subcontractor performance and site coordination activities
