The Company

This established Irish main contractor has a strong track record delivering education, healthcare, commercial and public sector projects across Leinster. They are known for well-structured site teams, strong programme control and a practical approach to quality and safety.

They are now delivering a major school project in Co Kildare and require an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery from site through to completion.


The Role: Project Manager

As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a large education project in Kildare. You will work closely with senior management, the commercial team, design team, site management and subcontractors to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.

This role suits a Project Manager with strong main contractor experience, particularly on schools, public sector buildings or large scale building projects in Ireland.


Must Have Requirements:

• Must have 7 years’ experience in construction management with a main contractor
• Proven experience required delivering building projects in Ireland
• Must have strong programme delivery and subcontractor coordination experience
• Experience managing projects from site setup through to handover is required

Preferred Experience:

• Education or school project experience preferred
• Experience using Procore, Asta, MS Project or similar systems beneficial
• Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, BCAR and public sector project standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of a major school project in Co Kildare
• Manage programme, site operations, quality, safety and subcontractor performance
• Coordinate closely with the Site Manager, engineers, commercial team and design team
• Drive short term planning, progress reporting and look ahead programmes
• Ensure works are delivered in line with specification, drawings and client requirements
• Manage project meetings, reporting, risk items and key project milestones
• Maintain strong communication with senior management and client representatives
• Oversee handover, snagging, quality finishes and completion documentation

About You:

You are an experienced Project Manager with a solid main contractor background and a proven ability to deliver building projects in Ireland. You understand programme pressure, subcontractor coordination, site logistics and the importance of keeping quality and safety standards high.

You will be organised, commercially aware and confident leading a project team on a live education project in Co Kildare.
