The Role: Project Engineer
This Project Engineer role in Co Cork will see you involved in the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across multiple sectors including municipal, food & beverage, dairy and pharmaceutical.
You will work closely with project managers, design teams, subcontractors and clients to coordinate projects from planning through to commissioning. The role offers strong exposure across programme delivery, procurement, site coordination, quality control and commercial reporting.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
- Proven experience required in project coordination, engineering delivery or construction projects
- Full Irish driving licence required
- Strong communication and organisational skills are essential
- Experience working within water, wastewater, utilities or industrial projects is highly beneficial
Preferred Experience
- Experience with municipal water or wastewater treatment projects preferred
- Pharmaceutical or food processing project exposure beneficial
- Knowledge of procurement and subcontractor coordination advantageous
- Experience working within HSQE driven environments beneficial
- Strong PC and reporting software skills preferred
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Irish utility or infrastructure projects
- Experience with project scheduling and reporting software
- Understanding of commissioning and handover processes
- Exposure to sustainable infrastructure or clean-tech projects beneficial
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases
- Support programme delivery while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers throughout project delivery
- Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with technical specifications
- Maintain strong health & safety standards across all site activities
- Assist with procurement activities including supplier coordination and material tracking
- Support financial reporting, variations and cost control processes
- Prepare project documentation, progress reports and technical records
- Identify project risks and assist with mitigation planning
- Work closely with site teams to maintain productivity and delivery targets
- Ensure projects meet environmental standards and client requirements
- Support sustainable engineering initiatives and continuous improvement across project delivery
