Project Engineer – Wastewater Infrastructure / Water Services Projects
Location: Limerick
Established Irish Civil Engineering Contractor specialising in Utilities & Infrastructure
Salary €55,000 – €70,000 DOE vehicle bonus pension healthcare

The Role – Project Engineer As Project Engineer, you will join a multidisciplinary team delivering wastewater infrastructure projects from early-stage concept and design through to construction. This is a technically focused role where you will contribute to the design development while ensuring buildability, safety, and efficiency are embedded throughout.
You will work closely with internal design teams, site teams, and external stakeholders, playing a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards in line with programme and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed engineering designs and technical drawings for wastewater infrastructure projects
- Ensure all designs prioritise health and safety, environmental compliance, and commercial efficiency
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and environmental engineers
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders to progress project delivery
- Carry out site visits, surveys, and technical assessments to support and validate design solutions
- Contribute to innovative and sustainable design approaches across projects
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Uisce Éireann standards
- Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working as a Project Engineer or Design Engineer within water or wastewater infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and ArcGIS
- Previous experience delivering Uisce Éireann projects is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of design, buildability, and project delivery requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative and solve technical challenges
- Detail focused with a commitment to quality and programme delivery
