Job title: MEP Lead – Data Centre Construction
Location: Vaasa, Finland
Company: International Data Centre Contractor
Package: Up to €135,000 + flights + accommodation + €250 net weekly subsistence
The Company
This leading International Data Centre Contractor delivers large scale turnkey data centre projects across Europe, covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and commissioning works.
With a significant European project pipeline, they are currently delivering a major data centre development in Vaasa, Finland and are looking to appoint an experienced MEP Lead to strengthen the site management team.
The Role: MEP Lead
As MEP Lead, you will take responsibility for coordinating the mechanical and electrical delivery on this large scale data centre project in Vaasa.
You will lead a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, working closely with the Contracts Manager, site teams, design team and subcontractors to keep MEP works progressing safely, efficiently and in line with programme and quality requirements.

You will have a strong MEP construction background with experience managing complex mechanical and electrical installations.
You should be comfortable leading engineering teams, coordinating multiple subcontractors and dealing directly with design and project management teams on a technically demanding data centre project.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have strong experience managing mechanical and electrical packages on large construction projects
- Proven experience leading MEP engineers and subcontractors is required
- Strong understanding of MEP drawings, specifications and technical coordination
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify practical design and programme improvements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on site
- Review MEP drawings, specifications and technical information
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure accurate information is available to site teams
- Monitor workmanship, materials and MEP installation quality
- Identify design changes that can improve programme, buildability and cost efficiency
- Liaise with the Contracts Manager, engineers and other discipline leads
- Ensure design errors or omissions are communicated and resolved promptly
