The Role – MEP Estimator
As an MEP Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase of major projects. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring tenders are technically robust and commercially viable.
Working closely with design, engineering, and project teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex construction projects by identifying risks, optimising costs, and supporting value engineering initiatives.

The Role – MEP Estimator

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for MEP packages
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation across mechanical and electrical systems
- Analyse project requirements to identify risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for value engineering
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate and competitive pricing
- Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure buildability and technical compliance
- Support pre-construction planning and contribute to tender presentations
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all estimates and assumptions
- Ensure all estimates align with industry standards, regulations, and company procedures
About You
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems within construction or engineering
- Experience estimating MEP works on industrial, pharmaceutical, or commercial projects
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and P&IDs
- Proficient in estimating software, Excel, and project tools
- Strong commercial awareness with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
- Background can be trade-based or degree-qualified in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering
- Motivated, organised, and focused on delivering high-quality, competitive tenders
Salary: €70,000 (DOE)
