The Role – MEICA Project Engineer
As a MEICA Project Engineer, you will take ownership of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation elements across live projects. You will be involved from design review through to installation, testing and commissioning, ensuring all systems are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with project managers, site teams and subcontractors, you will play a key role in coordinating site activities, managing technical delivery, and maintaining full compliance with project specifications.

As a MEICA Project Engineer, you will take ownership of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation elements across live projects. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations across all site activities
- Carry out detailed design reviews to ensure EICA systems meet project requirements
- Coordinate and manage electrical and instrumentation works on site
- Monitor programme progress and support delivery milestones
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and specialist vendors
- Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of electrical and control systems
- Implement quality control procedures and resolve non-conformances
- Maintain accurate project records, reports and technical documentation
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project coordination
- Support planning, site investigations and technical problem solving
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or relevant trade background with progression into engineering
- 1 to 5 years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation or automation projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, and low voltage installations
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and quality
- Full clean driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland
