You will be joining a growing team based out of Co Kildare that’s delivering some of Ireland’s most critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. As Project Engineer, you’ll oversee every stage, from design to commissioning, ensuring each project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

You’ll be supporting projects from design right through to installation, commissioning, and handover, no two days are ever the same. It’s a great opportunity for someone looking to take ownership, work across multiple disciplines, and gain solid experience in the water and wastewater industry.

Project Engineer Skills:
  • A third-level degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Full EU/Irish driving licence.
  • Strong engineering and problem-solving mindset with good attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and take on challenges in the water/wastewater sector.
  • Previous experience in an M&E or multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver under time constraints.
  • Experience in project or site management, M&E installation, or water/wastewater systems is a plus.

As a Project Engineer:
  • Oversee mechanical, electrical, and ICA aspects of water and wastewater installations (with some minor civil works).
  • Work closely with the HSQE team to ensure all activities are carried out safely and to standard.
  • Support the design team in developing innovative, efficient solutions using modern technologies.
  • Manage procurement for all materials and equipment needed for project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes from design through to commissioning and final handover.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth project coordination.
  • Manage site teams and subcontractors to keep work on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare method statements, commissioning schedules, and engineering reports.
  • Take responsibility for O&M manuals and Health & Safety documentation.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €60,000 plus package to and more.
