One of Europe’s most established specialist data centre contractors is seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager for a major hyperscale data centre development in Finland. The Role – Mechanical Package Manager
As Mechanical Package Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of a large scale mechanical package on a fast paced data centre construction project in Finland. You will oversee all aspects of mechanical installation from design coordination and procurement through to testing, commissioning, and final handover.
Working closely with the project team, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives, you will play a key role in ensuring programme milestones, quality standards, and health & safety targets are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role – Mechanical Package Manager
As Mechanical Package Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of a large scale mechanical package on a fast paced data centre construction project in Finland. Working closely with the project team, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives, you will play a key role in ensuring programme milestones, quality standards, and health & safety targets are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete mechanical package on a large scale data centre project
- Coordinate mechanical design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
- Oversee subcontractors and specialist mechanical trades on site
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with project programme and budget targets
- Drive a strong health & safety culture across all mechanical works
- Monitor quality control procedures, inspections, and snagging systems
- Maintain accurate project documentation, progress reports, and QA records
- Coordinate material deliveries and manage site logistics for mechanical packages
- Attend project meetings, technical reviews, and client progress meetings
- Support project close out including commissioning documentation, O&M manuals, and final handover
- Manage variations, commercial reporting, and cost tracking with the commercial team
- Work collaboratively with electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Package Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, or Senior Mechanical Engineer
- Strong background delivering large scale data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission critical projects
- Experience managing complex HVAC, pipework, and mechanical building services installations
- Strong understanding of mechanical commissioning and QA procedures
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance
- Experience working on design & build construction projects
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast track construction environments
