With major investment continuing across the Irish water sector, they are currently expanding their site delivery teams on several flagship wastewater treatment projects in Co Louth. These projects have secured long-term programmes running through to 2029 and 2030, providing excellent job security and career development opportunities within the water and wastewater industry.
The Role: Mechanical Graduate Engineer
Based on a major wastewater treatment plant project in Co Louth, you will work alongside experienced project managers, engineers, and site teams supporting the delivery of mechanical installation packages from construction through to commissioning.
This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate looking to build a long-term career in the water and wastewater sector while gaining hands-on experience on a large-scale live construction project.
Must Have Requirements
You will be a motivated graduate engineer looking to gain practical experience within the water treatment sector. You should be eager to learn, capable of working within a site environment, and interested in developing a long-term engineering career with a specialist contractor.

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Strong interest in water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full driving licence preferred
- Ability to work on site in Co Louth
- Placement experience within construction, utilities, or industrial projects
- Knowledge of mechanical process systems
- Understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Support site engineers and project managers with mechanical installation activities
- Assist with quality inspections and project documentation
- Monitor progress against programme requirements
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers on site
- Support commissioning and testing activities
- Ensure works comply with project specifications and safety requirements
- Assist with technical reporting and record keeping
