We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Mechanical Engineer to support procurement, fabrication, construction and project delivery across a wide range of piping, steelwork and mechanical installation projects throughout Cork, Tipperary, Waterford and Limerick.
You will work closely with fabrication teams, site crews and clients to ensure all materials, inspections, and installations meet the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.

Mechanical Engineer Skills:
- Proficiency in 3D modelling software such as Navisworks and AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, steel fabrication and installation processes
- Excellent problem-solving, technical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with wider project and fabrication teams
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Mechanical engineering degree, construction management qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, safety regulations and quality requirements
- Compile detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support procurement activities
- Coordinate fabrication activities and liaise with workshop teams
- Carry out material inspections, fabrication inspections and installation inspections on piping and steelwork
- Attend client meetings, provide technical support and represent the engineering team professionally
- Produce progress reports, assist with cost control and support project planning
- Manage project documentation and ensure accurate record keeping across all project stages
- Work cross-functionally with design, fabrication, QA/QC and site teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Travel occasionally to client sites, fabrication facilities or project locations as required
- Carry out additional engineering duties as required
