We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support maintenance operations and major plant improvement projects at a large-scale industrial processing facility in the Louth region.

Mechanical Engineer Skills:
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer or similar technical discipline
- Experience in heavy industry, process plants, manufacturing, quarrying, cement, mining or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, rotating machinery, mechanical systems and asset reliability
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate and manage contractors on maintenance or project works
- Strong IT skills including MS Office; experience with AutoCAD is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Strong problem-solving abilities and commercial awareness
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar industrial engineering role
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team to support plant reliability and performance
- Take responsibility for a designated process area, ensuring preventative and predictive maintenance activities are executed effectively
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement long-term solutions to improve equipment uptime
- Plan and coordinate major shutdowns, overhauls and outage works
- Manage contractors for specific works, ensuring compliance with safety, schedule and quality requirements
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency and environmental performance across the plant
- Support capital improvement projects from initial scoping through installation, commissioning and handover
- Prepare technical documentation, maintenance plans, reports and project records
- Contribute to asset optimisation and long-term plant development initiatives
