Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator Skills:
- Mechanical experience is essential, ideally within wastewater, biopharma, utilities, or process plant environments.
- Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical building services installation and sequencing.
- Experience coordinating services in complex, regulated, or semi-live facilities.
- Proficient with BIM tools such as Navisworks, BIM360, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, isometrics, schedules, and technical documentation.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills; able to lead coordination discussions.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards, construction regulations, and quality procedures.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or similar discipline.
- Additional certification in coordination, BIM, or construction management is an advantage.
- Wastewater or biopharma project experience is highly desirable.
- Lead M&E coordination activities for wastewater and process utility systems within a live biopharma environment.
- Review mechanical and electrical drawings, 3D models, and specifications to ensure accurate, clash-free integration.
- Coordinate closely with civil, process, and architectural teams to ensure seamless installation sequencing.
- Support the development and maintenance of coordinated services models using industry-standard tools (Navisworks, BIM360, etc.).
- Oversee daily coordination between mechanical, electrical, and specialist subcontractors.
- Monitor site progress (mechanical emphasis) ensuring installations follow design, QA standards, and project schedule.
- Participate in daily whiteboard meetings, look-ahead planning, and weekly coordination sessions.
- Support installation of mechanical equipment, pipework, pumps, valves, wastewater treatment components, and associated utilities.
- Review technical submittals, material approvals, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Manage RFI processes, ensuring timely resolution of technical queries.
- Carry out QA/QC checks, ensuring installations meet GMP, biopharma, and project standards.
- Support testing, commissioning, system walkdowns, and punch-list closure.
- Interface with project management, client representatives, design teams, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Provide clear, structured reporting on coordination issues, progress, risks, and key decisions.
- Manage information flow through the CDE and ensure document control compliance.
