The Role – Junior Quantity Surveyor
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to develop strong commercial skills within the mechanical building services sector. You will work closely with experienced commercial and project teams, gaining hands-on exposure across live projects from pre-construction through to final account.
You will support cost control, procurement and contract administration, playing a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining high commercial standards.

The Role – Junior Quantity Surveyor

You will support cost control, procurement and contract administration, playing a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining high commercial standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cost reporting, budgeting and financial forecasting on mechanical projects
- Support measurement and valuation of HVAC, pipework and mechanical installations
- Assist with subcontractor procurement, including enquiries and tender analysis
- Help manage subcontractor accounts, including payment applications and variations
- Support preparation of interim valuations and final accounts
- Track project costs including labour, materials and plant against budgets
- Maintain accurate commercial records, reports and cost trackers
- Work closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to support delivery
- Gain exposure to contract administration and commercial controls
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and financial discipline
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline
- Strong interest in mechanical building services such as HVAC, pipework and plant systems
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
- Eagerness to learn commercial processes including valuations, variations and reporting
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Previous placement or graduate experience in construction or engineering is beneficial
- Full clean Irish driving licence
