The Role – Junior / Intermediate Estimator
Based full time in the Dublin office, the successful candidate will work closely with senior management, commercial teams, and operational staff to assist with the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
This role will suit someone with strong numerical and analytical skills who is looking to further develop their estimating career within the construction and civil engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the preparation and submission of tenders for civil engineering and infrastructure projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Measure quantities and prepare take offs
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Assist in compiling accurate cost estimates and pricing schedules
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams during tender preparation
• Help identify value engineering opportunities and cost saving measures
• Maintain tender documentation and estimating records
• Support senior estimators with bid submissions and project handovers
• Ensure all tenders are completed within deadlines and company standards
About You:
• Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
• 1 years’ experience in an estimating, quantity surveying, or civil engineering support role
• Strong interest in civil engineering, infrastructure, and construction projects
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent numerical, organisational, and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and estimating software
• Ability to work collaboratively within a busy commercial team
• Motivated, detail focused, and eager to progress within the estimating sector
