Job title: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Major Roads & Infrastructure Project
Location: Kerry, Co Kerry
Company: Irish Civil Engineering Main Contractor
Package: €65,000 to €70,000 + vehicle, up to 12% pension and package
The Company
This Irish civil engineering main contractor has a strong track record delivering road and infrastructure projects across Ireland, with works covering earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities and structures. They are currently delivering a major roads and civil engineering project in Kerry, Co Kerry, with approximately two years of work ahead on the scheme. They are looking to strengthen the commercial team with an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who has a solid background in civil engineering.
The Role: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
As Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will join the commercial team on a major roads and infrastructure project in Kerry.
The project involves a broad range of civil engineering works including earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities and structures. You will work closely with the wider commercial and project teams, supporting the commercial management of the works throughout the remaining two-year programme.
Must Have Requirements
• Must have 5+ years’ post-graduate experience
• Proven experience working on civil engineering projects is required
• Experience on projects involving earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities or structures is required
Preferred Experience
• Previous experience on major road or infrastructure projects
• Experience working with a civil engineering main contractor would be beneficial
• Experience across multiple civils packages would be an advantage
Key Responsibilities
• Work as part of the commercial team on a major roads and infrastructure project
• Support the commercial management of works across the project
• Work closely with the wider project and site teams
• Maintain commercial oversight of relevant civil engineering packages
• Support cost control and commercial reporting throughout the project
• Assist with the commercial delivery of the project in line with the programme
• Maintain accurate commercial records across the relevant works packages
About You
You will be an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with at least 5 years’ post-graduate experience and a strong background in civil engineering.
You should have practical commercial experience on projects involving earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities or structures. You will be comfortable working closely with both commercial and site teams and have the organisation and attention to detail required on a major infrastructure project.
