The Company
A well-established contractor specialising in domestic heating systems, plumbing, and renewable energy installations across Kerry and Limerick is looking to appoint an experienced Heating Surveyor. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality retrofit and renewable heating solutions, working closely with homeowners, builders, and trade professionals.
With continued demand for heat pumps, boiler upgrades, and energy-efficient heating systems, they are expanding their technical surveying team to support a growing pipeline of residential projects throughout Kerry and Limerick.
The Role: Heating Surveyor
Based across Kerry and Limerick, you will carry out site surveys for domestic heating and renewable energy projects, assessing existing systems and preparing accurate quotations for installation works.
This is a customer-facing role requiring strong technical knowledge of plumbing and heating systems together with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to homeowners. You will work closely with the installation teams, ensuring each project is properly specified before work begins.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced plumbing professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer interaction. You have a strong understanding of domestic heating systems and can confidently identify the most suitable solution for each property.
You communicate clearly, work well independently, and take pride in producing accurate surveys and quotations. Your attention to detail ensures installations are properly planned from the outset, helping projects run efficiently from survey through to completion.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a recognised Plumbing qualification
- Minimum 10 years' experience within the plumbing and heating industry
- Proven experience surveying or installing domestic heating systems
- Full clean Irish driving licence required
- Strong computer skills with the ability to prepare accurate quotations and reports
- Experience with air source heat pumps and renewable heating systems
- Knowledge of thermodynamic systems, wood pellet boilers and solid fuel appliances
- F-Gas certification or previous heat pump installation experience beneficial
- Experience working with retrofit projects
- Knowledge of SEAI retrofit standards
- Experience working with domestic energy upgrades
- Strong understanding of heating controls and zoning systems
- Carry out detailed surveys of domestic properties throughout Kerry and Limerick
- Assess existing heating systems and prepare accurate specifications for quotations
- Survey projects involving condensing oil boilers, air to water heat pumps, thermodynamic systems, wood pellet boilers and solid fuel appliances
- Plan pipework layouts and accurately estimate labour and material requirements
- Explain technical solutions and product options clearly to homeowners
- Prepare detailed written quotations and proposals
- Provide technical advice regarding installation, design and warranty matters
- Liaise with builders, subcontractors, suppliers and customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Attend weekly sales and planning meetings
- Promote additional heating and renewable products where appropriate
- Keep accurate records of surveys, quotations and customer interactions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new renewable technologies and industry developments
- Ensure all recommended systems comply with current safety standards and regulations
