Due to continued project activity across the Dublin and Eastern Region, they are now seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to strengthen their regional safety team.
The Role – Health & Safety Officer
This is a site-based role, working closely with Site Management, Contracts Managers, and the wider SHEQ team to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across live construction projects.
You will report directly to the SHEQ Manager and will be supported through regular site visits, mentoring, and independent monthly safety inspections carried out across all projects.

The Role – Health & Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a strong, positive safety culture across all site teams
- Monitor, evaluate, and act on any health & safety risks or unsafe conditions
- Carry out regular site inspections and audits, issuing reports and corrective actions
- Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments, method statements, and safety statements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Support the SHEQ Manager in identifying training and development needs
- Contribute to internal audits and attend safety meetings as required
- Assist with maintaining and developing company H&S policies and procedures
- Promote continuous improvement and best practice across all projects
About You
- Degree-qualified in Occupational Health & Safety or similar
- 5 years’ experience in a construction site-based H&S role
- Strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and construction safety practices
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 and Safe-T Cert (advantageous)
- Proven ability to influence site teams and management positively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- IT proficient (MS Office, reporting systems, digital safety platforms)
- Full clean driving licence
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling
