The Role: Health & Safety Officer
This Health & Safety Officer role is based in Wexford, Co Wexford, working as part of the site team on a major €60 million healthcare project due to commence shortly.
You will support the day-to-day management of health and safety across the project, working closely with the Health & Safety Manager, Project Manager, Site Managers and subcontractors to maintain high standards throughout construction.
The project has an initial programme of approximately 18 to 24 months and will give you good exposure to the delivery of a large scale healthcare development from an early stage.
Must Have Requirements
You will be comfortable carrying out site inspections, reviewing RAMS, delivering toolbox talks and working directly with subcontractors and site management to maintain strong safety standards.
You should have a practical approach to Health & Safety, good knowledge of Irish construction legislation and the confidence to deal with issues on site as they arise.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 3+ years’ experience as a Health & Safety Officer, Safety Officer or Health & Safety Advisor on Irish construction projects
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification is required
- Good working knowledge of Irish construction health and safety legislation
- Experience working in a main contractor site environment is required
- Previous experience on large scale building projects preferred
- Healthcare construction experience would be beneficial
- Experience coordinating directly with site management teams and subcontractors beneficial
- Carry out site inspections and safety audits
- Monitor subcontractor safety compliance
- Implement H&S plans and deliver toolbox talks
- Review RAMS and safety documentation
- Support incident investigations and maintain H&S records
- Identify site risks and promote safe working practices
