The Project
The development involves the demolition of an existing office building and the construction of a large-scale mixed-use scheme, including:
- A high-density residential apartment development
- Ground floor commercial space including office and café use
- Basement car parking and extensive cycle facilities
- Resident amenities such as gym, concierge, co-working and leisure spaces
- Significant public and communal open areas
- Full site infrastructure, drainage, and landscaping works
The Role – Health & Safety Advisor
Reporting to the Project H&S Manager, you will play a key role in driving a strong safety culture on site, ensuring full compliance with legislation, company procedures, and best practice standards.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for an H&S Advisor who thrives in a fast-paced main contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the project Health & Safety Management System
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and compliance checks
- Support site management and subcontractors in safe systems of work
- Review and assist in the preparation of RAMS and method statements
- Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and address unsafe practices
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, producing reports
- Maintain accurate H&S records and site safety documentation
- Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across all site activities
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and senior management
About You
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH or equivalent)
- 3–6 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within construction
- Experience on large residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects
- Strong working knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation
- Confident communicator able to influence site teams
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- IT literate with reporting systems and MS Office
- Full clean driving licence
