The Role: Finishing Foreman
This Finishing Foreman role is based on a large golf club redevelopment project in County Clare. The initial phase of works is heavily civils focused, including pathways, roadways, landscaping interfaces, and external infrastructure works before progressing into a series of extensions and refurbishment packages within the existing club facilities.
You will work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager overseeing finishing trades, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the programme. This is a hands-on Finishing Foreman role suited to someone comfortable managing both external works and high-quality internal finishes within a live site environment.
The project requires strong attention to detail, good sequencing ability, and experience managing subcontractors through final delivery stages.
Must Have Requirements:
• Must have 5 years’ experience as a Finishing Foreman on Irish construction projects
• Proven experience required on refurbishment and extension projects
• Experience with a main contractor in Ireland is required
• Hands on experience required managing subcontractors and finishing trades
• Strong understanding of quality control and programme delivery
Preferred Experience:
• Civils or external works experience preferred
• Experience working within live site environments beneficial
• Strong coordination skills across multiple subcontractor packages
• Ability to read drawings and manage finishing schedules
Nice to Have:
• Trade background beneficial
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling up to date
• Additional health & safety certifications advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee finishing works across refurbishment and extension packages
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works progress in line with programme
• Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the project
• Monitor snagging, inspections, and handover requirements
• Liaise with site management and design teams on daily activities
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across all works
• Manage sequencing between civils works and internal finishing trades
• Maintain accurate reporting on progress and site issues
• Assist with material coordination and workforce planning
About You:
You will come from a construction background with proven experience as a Finishing Foreman on Irish construction projects. You should be comfortable managing subcontractors, driving quality finishes, and maintaining programme targets within busy site environments.
