The Company This role is with one of Ireland’s largest Tier 1 main contractors, a long-established industry leader with an annual turnover exceeding €400m and a reputation for delivering some of the country’s most ambitious and technically advanced projects.
With a major presence across Cork and Munster, the company delivers high-value commercial buildings, pharmaceutical facilities, data centres, advanced manufacturing plants, residential developments, and large-scale public projects, often ranging from €20m to €300m .
As their Cork portfolio continues to expand heading into 2025, they are now seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing regional team.
The Role – Estimator (Cork) Working within a highly skilled pre-construction team, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and commercially competitive tenders for major projects across Munster.

The Role – Estimator (Cork) Working within a highly skilled pre-construction team, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and commercially competitive tenders for major projects across Munster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyse, and compile high-quality tender submissions across multiple sectors.
- Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, addressing risk and ambiguities.
- Issue drawings, tender documents, and ensure all relevant information is distributed effectively.
- Assess tender documentation for compliance, risk, and technical clarity.
- Support ongoing improvements to estimating systems, processes, and reporting tools.
- Stay informed on contract frameworks, market changes, and industry best practice.
- Work collaboratively with commercial, technical, and project teams to secure profitable bids.
About You
- 5 years’ experience in estimating or combined estimating/QS roles.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline preferred.
- Strong numerical ability and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Excellent IT skills, especially Excel and relevant estimating software.
- Strong commercial awareness and communication skills.
