The Role – Electrical Project Manager
As Electrical Project Manager, you will take full ownership of large scale electrical construction projects from tender handover through to commissioning and final account. You will lead the planning, coordination and control of all site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
You will act as the primary client interface while driving performance across your site team, subcontractors and suppliers. This is a senior leadership role with real influence over quality standards, commercial outcomes and client satisfaction on high value electrical engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead project handover from estimating through full construction delivery
• Develop detailed project programmes, procurement schedules and manpower plans
• Establish site specific health and safety and quality management frameworks
• Manage subcontractors, specialist packages and direct labour on site
• Monitor programme performance, material lead times and technical compliance
• Oversee project financial performance alongside the Commercial Manager and QS
• Manage variations, valuations, cashflow forecasting and cost control
• Chair coordination meetings including BIM reviews and client progress meetings
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including QMS and site records
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and system handover with the Commissioning Manager
• Ensure certification of life safety systems and delivery of as built documentation
• Finalise accounts, manage project closeout and oversee defect resolution
About You
• Electrical trade background with strong technical grounding in electrical systems
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Project Manager on large construction projects
• Experience operating in a PSCS capacity
• Strong commercial awareness with estimating and cost control experience
• Proven ability to manage complex programmes and drive delivery milestones
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients and subcontractors
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance
• Leadership style that motivates teams and builds accountability
• Full clean driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland
