The Company
This established engineering contractor delivers major water, wastewater and MEICA infrastructure projects throughout Ireland for public and private sector clients. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a reputation for delivering complex utility projects safely and efficiently, they continue to invest in their engineering teams as they expand across the Irish water sector.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their team based in Castletroy, Co Limerick, supporting the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the region.
The Role: Electrical Project Engineer
Based from the Castletroy office, you'll work within a multidisciplinary project environment, coordinating the delivery of electrical engineering activities from design through procurement, installation and commissioning to project handover. You'll collaborate closely with Mechanical, ICA, Civil and Process Engineers while managing client relationships, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.

Must Have Requirements
You are an Electrical Project Engineer with a proven track record delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Ireland. You combine strong technical knowledge with excellent organisational and communication skills and enjoy working within multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex utility projects.
You are commercially aware, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and programme delivery.

Must Have Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems associated with water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and subcontractors.
- Full Irish or EU driving licence.
- Experience working under FIDIC, NEC or Public Works Contract frameworks.
- Knowledge of SCADA, instrumentation and industrial control systems.
- Experience delivering MEICA projects within regulated utility environments.
- Chartered Engineer status or actively progressing towards chartership.
- Experience with electrical commissioning, testing and project handover.
- Coordinate the delivery of electrical works across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Support design development, procurement, installation and commissioning activities.
- Review electrical designs to ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate electrical engineering inputs across Mechanical, Civil, ICA and Process disciplines.
- Monitor programme, budget and project performance throughout delivery.
- Support commercial reporting, forecasting and contract administration.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical and commercial updates.
- Promote the highest standards of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery.
