You are an experienced Electrical Estimator, looking to join a well-established and growing electrical contractor delivering industrial and residential projects across Munster.
This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented estimator who enjoys working on tenders, pricing electrical packages, and supporting management with accurate costing and profitable bid decisions. You will play a key role in the full estimating process, from reviewing drawings and specifications through to preparing competitive tenders and improving internal estimating procedures.

Electrical Estimator Skills:
- Completed a post-secondary electrician training programme
- Qualification in Electrical, Construction, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar is advantageous
- Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and blueprints
- Sound knowledge of electrical codes and installation requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Strong communication skills with clients and internal stakeholders
- Customer-focused approach with professional tender communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating / costing tools (strong IT skills advantageous)
- Ability to review labour and material costs and identify best value solutions
- Analyse blueprints and drawings to determine cable runs, wire lengths, and suitable outlet placement in line with electrical codes
- Calculate the quantity, type, and cost of materials, fixtures, and equipment required for electrical installations
- Prepare accurate project take-offs and develop cost breakdowns for pricing and submission
- Determine project timelines and expected duration to support labour costing and bid planning
- Research and track current market pricing for materials, equipment, and subcontracted works
- Support management by assessing bid feasibility and projected profitability of projects
- Provide alternative solutions and value engineering options to improve project margins
- Complete and submit competitive project bids in line with agreed internal tender procedures
- Maintain and update cost databases to reflect fluctuating labour and material pricing
- Evaluate whether project components should be installed in-house or subcontracted based on cost and programme efficiency
