The Company
This is an opportunity to join a leading specialist engineering contractor delivering electrical solutions across major data centre and mission critical projects throughout Europe.
The company has a strong and growing pipeline of European projects and is looking to strengthen its commissioning team with an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer.
This position offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while benefiting from a regular rotation home and an excellent European package.
The Role Electrical Commissioning Engineer
As Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems across major data centre and mission critical projects in Europe.
Working closely with the project management, engineering, construction and client commissioning teams, you will ensure electrical systems are fully tested, documented and successfully handed over in accordance with project requirements.
You will be involved throughout the commissioning process, from reviewing drawings and commissioning procedures through testing, fault finding, close-out and final handover.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and coordinate electrical testing and commissioning activities
- Develop and work through commissioning plans, procedures and schedules
- Review electrical drawings, schematics, specifications and commissioning documentation
- Complete electrical inspections, testing and verification
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the commissioning process
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and client commissioning teams
- Ensure electrical systems are ready for testing and final commissioning
- Manage test records, commissioning documentation, punch lists and close-out activities
- Support final handover and completion of commissioning dossiers
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with relevant electrical, quality and health and safety requirements
- 7+ years’ experience within electrical engineering, testing or commissioning
- Strong background in electrical testing and commissioning
- Experience working on large scale electrical, industrial or mission critical projects
- Data centre experience is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and commissioning procedures
- Experience with HV/LV systems, electrical protection, earthing and testing would be particularly beneficial
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications
- Strong fault finding and problem solving ability
- Comfortable working with clients and multidisciplinary project teams
- Willingness to work on projects throughout Europe
Salary: €95,000
