EHS Advisor Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction safety legislation, industry regulations, and best practice.
- Experience delivering toolbox talks, inductions, method statement reviews, and safety briefings.
- Proven ability to conduct site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
- Ability to influence, advise, and guide site teams on safe systems of work.
- Experience working on large construction, mechanical, or industrial projects.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
- NEBOSH, QQI, or equivalent health & safety qualification preferred.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently across multiple work fronts.
- Lead day-to-day safety oversight across active project sites, ensuring full compliance with all EHS requirements.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and documentation reviews, reporting findings and corrective actions.
- Support the development of RAMS, permits, lift plans, and high-risk activity procedures.
- Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, safety briefings, and ongoing training to site teams.
- Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and trades teams to promote safe planning and execution of works.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and reinforce a positive safety culture across all projects.
- Provide guidance on environmental compliance, waste management, and sustainability where required.
