The Role – Contracts Manager (Civils & Groundworks)

Reporting to the Directors, you’ll take overall responsibility for managing multiple civil and groundworks projects across Dublin and the Southeast.

This is a strategic leadership role, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery across all sites while driving performance and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all project operations from mobilisation through to completion across multiple sites.

  • Manage and support Site Managers, Engineers, and Foremen to ensure efficient delivery.

  • Drive programme, safety, quality, and budget targets across all projects.

  • Liaise with clients, main contractors, and senior management to resolve issues proactively.

  • Monitor labour, plant, and resource allocation across sites.

  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and company policies.

  • Review project progress, forecasts, and cost control with QS and commercial teams.

  • Develop, mentor, and motivate site teams to achieve operational excellence.

  • Maintain meticulous project documentation and reporting.


About You
  • 7 years’ experience in civil engineering or groundworks management.

  • Proven track record managing multiple sites or large-scale civil projects.

  • Strong understanding of residential, commercial, and infrastructure civils.

  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to make decisions under pressure.

  • Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel across sites in the Leinster region.

  • Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
