The Role – Construction Project Manager
As Construction Project Manager, you will take full ownership of delivering major power and infrastructure projects from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a senior leadership role where you will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain strong client relationships while driving performance across all aspects of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will take full responsibility for health and safety across all site activities, ensuring compliance and best practice is consistently achieved.
  • You will manage programme planning, monitoring progress closely to ensure projects are delivered on time while maintaining flexibility to address challenges as they arise.
  • You will lead and coordinate Site Managers, Section Managers, and wider site teams, ensuring clear direction and strong performance across all project phases.
  • Managing subcontractors and supply chain partners will be a key part of the role, ensuring work is delivered to the required quality and within agreed timelines.
  • You will oversee quality control, ensuring all works meet contractual and technical standards, while also maintaining responsibility for commercial performance including cost control, margins, and financial reporting.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle will be critical, alongside maintaining strong client relationships and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
About You
  • You will have a strong background as a Construction Project Manager within infrastructure or utilities, with experience in power, transmission, underground cabling, or heavy civils projects.
  • You will have a proven track record delivering complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects from start to finish.
  • You will bring strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive performance on site while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • A solid understanding of commercial management, including budgets and margins, is essential.
  • Strong communication skills are key, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • You will be highly organised, solutions-focused, and committed to delivering projects on time and to the highest standard.
